Reaction Blog of SARIMANOK

Recalling the word ``SARIMANOK” makes me look back to the time when I was an elementary learner. All I can retain information is that, it is the legendary bird or “artificial cock” that had turn out to be an ubiquitous emblem of  Maranao art. And as far as I can recognize, diverse versions of the legend of it were recorded.
The world-acclaimed production of Integrated Performing Arts Guild has once again made a significant obra upon  presenting or integrating the recreation of legendary bird ,Sarimanok.
By essentially considering all the stuffs that were set in stage after fleeting the way in, I cannot visualize what will be the upshot of that show, if it would be unique, entertaining, pleasant , or not. When I really looked at the adjoining area, the whole thing was really organized. The artistic part of the show is very high from the very start. From the moment they came out to begin the show, I know that they really primed something first-rate for me to look at. Anticipation is what I felt.

IPAG didn’t crossed my reservations. They were performing well the disposition that they have to represent. Its production  side shows creativeness to pass out one of the best culture we have here in our country. The designs that they used were simple but looked like very meticulous just truly like the Maranao culture. Every consequential colors were exposed out. Props also helped the show to accentuate every message that they’re trying  figure out to make  me comprehend the show without difficulty. The music worn by the show really fits its thesis. It was relaxing to ears that it makes me bond the song to the legend. All of these production side was so far fine although some technical directories went wrong. Flow of the story was very unique and was quiet entertaining. It started as a serious and emotional preface, swayed to become suspense, and at the last part of the story was very heart aching, heart melting, and made me feel lonely somehow because of the vile bereavement of Sarimanok and Ibon.

But the most foundation impact of that show for me  was the life learning message I learned and put in mind. That every little being has the right to dream, it’s just that we must know our restrictions. Heart can be deceiving sometimes. In life,we must make precautious  methods and know the consequences of our actions before it’s too late. Too late for us take back our wasted lives. We know that death  is just around but we’ll never know when will it meet us. It’s good to know that prevention is better than cure. Things beyond our limitations that we’ll ever do, will either kill us or bring us some good result. In life, sometimes it’s better to do what’s right even if it will hurts us.
